Vibrant blue cabinetry and playful pink tiles blend seamlessly with eccentric decor and bold patterns in this Maximalists playground. Interior Influencer Zoe has given us a masterclass in mixing colour and pattern in her Shaker Ermine kitchen. The typically traditional Shaker cabinetry is given an eccentric, energetic makeover thanks to a vibrant blue Spectrum shade.

A U-shaped layout gives the space an open-plan feel and leaves plenty of room to get creative in the kitchen. White worktops separate the bright blue units from pink subway-style tiles and act as an effective base from which vibrant colours can pop. Shying away from a minimalist approach, Zoe has adorned the worktops with quirky decor that gives the room its eccentric atmosphere.

Zoe was unwilling to compromise on style and opted for integrated appliances, with a 70/30 Bosch fridge-freezer and a separate built-under freezer. The stylish brass tap and hardware give the playful space an air of sophistication and really tie the room together.

Open-shelving between the wall cabinetry allows Zoe an opportunity to add even more personality to the eclectic space. The rustic wooden shelves break up the run of wall cabinetry to introduce pops of vibrant colour and texture. Patterned pottery and blossoming greenery are not only pieces of decor but key design elements. Zoe has added under-cabinet lighting to her wall units, which bounces off the white worktops and illuminates the colourful space.
